Hampshire and Isle of Wight Businesses invited to  ‘Join the Fight Against Business Crime’ with extended offer of free 12-month UKPAC membership.

UK Partners Against Crime (UKPAC), have extended their offer of a free 12 months membership to businesses across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight thanks to additional funding from the Police and Crime Commissioner Donna Jones.

The successful free membership campaign launched in June 2025 was due to finish on the 31st March 2026 but has been further extended until November 2026, meaning many more businesses in the region will benefit.

UKPAC members are granted access to UKPAC’s leading crime reporting platform and dedicated Crime Hub, a secure platform where business owners can report incidents, share intelligence, and access real-time alerts to help protect their staff, customers, and communities. Members also benefit from regular updates on crime trends, offenders, watch lists and safety advice.

The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between local businesses, police, and community safety partners, tackling issues such as shoplifting, antisocial behaviour, and theft. UKPAC members work alongside police, crime prevention agencies and legal professionals to work together to improve trading environments and community safety.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Commissioner, Donna Jones, said: “It is no good if these incidents are not reported to police. We want the police to take action, but to do so the retailers must report, report, report.”

“Theft of goods as well as violence towards shop workers are not tolerable – which is why I have made tackling retail crime one of the key priorities for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.

“In addition, through my funding of the UKPAC app, I have enabled businesses to report crime more quickly and more easily. UKPAC has directly led to over 130 convictions and more than 2,000 hours of police time being saved from compiling crime reports. This gives officers more time to be on the frontline tackling these sorts of crimes.”

The campaign is already making positive impact in the business community, with UKPAC intelligence and crime reports submitted through the SentrySIS-powered reporting system supporting the conviction of multiple prolific shoplifters, leading to 414 months (34 years and 6 months) of combined custodial sentences.

Among them is one Hampshire offender who received a 21-month prison sentence after UKPAC evidence helped secure convictions for 93 shoplifting offences, 30 breaches of a Community Behaviour Order, two assaults on security guards, and three failures to appear in court.

Gareth Lewis, Chair of UKPAC added: “We are delighted that we have been able to extend the free membership offer thanks to the funding from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police and Crime Commissioner, Donna Jones. It means even more businesses in the region can access our crime reporting hub and join us and the police in tackling business crime.

“Business owners not only benefit within their four walls, but more importantly, their contributions crucially help piece together the bigger picture on crime for authorities, closing the loop on shared intelligence to convictions . Together we’re creating a safer, stronger business community and now is the time for businesses to benefit and play their part.”

The free membership is open to all sectors, including retail, hospitality, and small businesses located in Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Sign-ups can be completed in minutes through the UKPAC website. Businesses can register for their free 12-month UKPAC membership here.
